Meras® r-PET: Mechanical Recycled Compounds
Reduce the carbon footprint by up to 80%.
With the Meras product range, the company offers materials which, depending on the product, contain between 53 and 96% recycled content and, at the same time, reduce the carbon footprint by up to 80 per cent compared with comparable virgin materials, without compromising on technical properties.
The Meras portfolio comprises a range of ready-to-use compounds for injection moulding and extrusion. Depending on requirements, unreinforced materials suitable for food contact are available as post-consumer recycled alternatives to ABS. In addition, there are glass-fibre-reinforced materials with a glass-fibre content of 15 to 30%, as well as variants with up to 40% for structural applications as an alternative to PBT GF, PA GF and PET GF. These are also available in versions approved for food contact. The portfolio is complemented by a halogen-free, flame-retardant material with a UL94 V-0 classification.
